About Highland Residents Directory

No single public book lists everyone who lives in Highland today. Relevant evidence is split among the City Clerk, the San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk, the courts, the library, and older directory collections. This site explains where each source fits, so a Highland name, street, parcel, or historic address can lead to the right custodian without treating one record as a complete residents directory.

Why This Highland Reference Exists

Printed Highland directories faded out, but the underlying records did not disappear. Ownership and deed indexes are held by San Bernardino County ARC, while the City Clerk keeps municipal minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, permits, and public-record request information. Historical clues are more likely to be found through the Highland Racadio Library and regional archives. We bring those offices, portals, dates, and access limits together so a Highland research question starts with the right source.

What the Highland Directory Pages Cover

  • Pages by purpose: By Street for address-keyed sources, City Directories for historical volumes, and Resident Lookup for one-person research
  • Local and county offices: Highland GIS and City Clerk files, San Bernardino County assessor and recorder systems, the Superior Court portal, vital records, and the Racadio Library
  • Research paths: ways to move from an address to an APN, from a directory entry to a dated record, or from a past resident to a probate or deed trail
  • Access boundaries: what the California Public Records Act can request, what remains restricted, and when a custodian must be contacted instead of this site

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to the City of Highland, San Bernardino County, California agencies, the courts, or the library. Important limits remain:

  • We cannot confirm whether a specific person currently lives in Highland
  • We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
  • We cannot add anyone to, or remove anyone from, any roll or database
  • We cannot give legal advice about a record or a dispute
  • We cannot promise that every coverage year, link, fee, or office detail is current at this moment

Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Information found through this site must not be used for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.
